So as I try to muddle out of my turkey comma and get some work done... I thought I'd start small and do some blogging. As much as I didn't get what I really wanted out of this session, it was wonderful. Broddy, being 2 and non-cooperative is very lucky to have such a marvelous mom! He wasn't cooperating, and she talked to him in a calm voice, never lost it and just said well if we don't get him we'll get some of the baby. I really appreciated that. Mostly because he is a kid and could care less about what we were doing and he shouldn't be forced into doing it. And secondly, she just saved Broddy from a life time of hating family pictures.
I thought she was amazing, I'm pretty sure I would have been so frustrated and raising my voice - especially being sleep deprived. So kuddos Julie!
There were probably 3 minutes of sweetness and I should have brought out my super powerful 1,000 frames per second camera (I don't really have one, but sometimes it would be nice.)
Canon please get on that!
There was also some sharing going on! Hopefully Paige likes Clifford.
As tired as Paige seemed, she would not go to sleep. I guess picture taking was just too exciting.
I was trying out my wonderfully creative friend Sarah's black chalk board, I thought it was such a cute idea! What I didn't plan on was that Broddy LOVES to color! And he wanted to color on the board... and his sister. Luckily it was chalk and not marker or I would have had a lot of photoshop work to do!
Isn't she just adorable?? I thought for a brief moment, that I would like... Well, I like to sleep, so I won't finish that.
I so love this image!
And this one too!
And this one! I may have to publish a book of feet... Mmmmm... Maybe a calendar?
I would just like to say that these kind of images are my favorite! I love photographing kids do what they do! And Broddy was more than willing to show off his kitchen utensil collection. I so loved it!
If he grows up to be a chef, I sure hope this image hangs in his kitchen!
We were hoping for one last moment of cooperation.... but when we asked him to look at mommy, he kind of did this sidewaysIcan'tseeyouanywhere look. I do remember that look from my own kids.... Funny how that's universal to toddler's.
