Event Photography, Aiden's First Birthday

Aiden's first birthday party was quite the exciting party, there was cake, fabulous Korean food, great people, wonderful little kiddos and an adorable Pug!  I really enjoyed the party, especially the Korean tradition of Doljabi (forgive me if that is wrong, I looked up the name on the internet).  It is where some items that represent various professions are placed in front of the child and whatever they pick is what they will become.  Aiden picked a microphone and toothbrush - there was lots of joking that he would be a singing dentist.  Having visited the dentist today, I had to giggle when the dentist came out to explain why he took 4 of my Aidan's teeth out, I half expected him to break out in song.  He didn't.  I guess he picked something else when he turned one.
Look at the smiles and the cakes!  Mmmmmmm!  Cake!

Aiden is very in tune with the dogs (obviously) and tends to play with other children like the dogs play with each other.  It is hard not to think it is adorable when he head butts other kids in play - he is only 1.  His mom says that he also rolls over on his back, shows his tummy and growls.  I hope she has that written down so that when he is older she remembers this adorableness!
We did not allow the dogs to help with the cake, somehow I think it would have been a bigger mess.

He hadn't quite realized that his hands may be more efficient...
I give you the singing dentist!

Pugs, smiles and really good food!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...

Cecilia, Andrew and their adorable children. Oh and a few alpacas. Franktown, Co

Photographing with alpacas has been sooooo much fun! They are just adorable, sweet and have the cutest faces! And this family made it so much more enjoyable! These kids are downright adorable! And full of such personality - I was in love!   These kids!  Their reactions to the alpacas were just adorable!  There's a video on instagram about it too, I encourage you to go check it out!  So cute! Those sweaters!  They were so cute!  Hopefully they were warm because it was cold that day!  And out in the field with all the snow was so much cooler!  But those kids were amazing leaving their jackets off while we took pictures!  I personally would have frozen and just fallen over without my jacket! I love LOVE this light!  If the kids hadn't been warmly bundled in a wagon, I would have thrown them in to the image too, but to make them get out in the cold was a little cruel.   For more information on High School Seniors, Portraits and Weddings...
