Northern Colorado Portrait Photography, Amanda and Colby

It is so exciting to do Amanda and Colby's second maternity shoot!  The first one involved the adorably cute little girl pictured here - and what a character she is!  She was everywhere as we took pictures, picking up rocks, sharing rocks, throwing rocks, dropping rocks, relocating rocks - there was lots to do on this farm!  And apparently taking pictures was not on her agenda.

I love this image!  Just like her mommy (and look at her, doesn't she look so proud??)

 Love that face!
And that face too!  You tell how much she loves her mommy!

There was lots of "where's the baby?"  And Austin was very gracious to show us forgetful adults where the baby was.  Towards the end, she was not so accommodating.  She must have thought were daft for not knowing, I mean she had just shown us after all.
I love my crown!  And I have to say, I pictured sweet, old timely pictures with Austin and the crown....

...those images didn't materialize.  But I like these so much better, that I didn't even try!
There was lots of talking going on!  And from the sounds of it, it was very important!

I love how sweet this image is!

This was what was going on behind the scenes while Amanda and I were taking pictures.  Glad they could be so entertained with a box, it always seems to be a box!

 Bye bye!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
