Brighton High School Senior Pictures, Tiger

I was so worried about the weather on the day we did Tiger's senior pictures, it was supposed to be rainy in certain area.  The clouds were coming and going, but when I arrived, the sun was out and the clouds looked like they were still pretty far away.  So I thought we were safe.  And then we got to our first spot and I posed him, we took a few pictures and then the wind picked up.  And it wasn't just a little breeze.  But the wind that makes it hard to talk over.  Luckily, there was a spot indoors that would could photograph in.   After about 10 or 15 minutes, the wind died down and we were able to go back outside.  When we got back out, it smelled like onions.  It was so strange and made me very hungry!  When I got home after the session, it had hailed at my house and the onion field across from our street was just over the top fragrant!  Tiger's session was about 10 miles from my house, those onions are very potent!

I love these images on the wall!  The colors are so great!

Tiger was such a great young man!  He was so easy going and willing to do what I asked him, and I asked him to do a lot because there were some eyebrow smiling issues going on.  So there were lots of try this and try that.  With all of what I put him through, he was still willing to talk to me at the end!  Phew!  I thought he was going to hate me!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
