Brighton, Co High School Pictures, Kylee

I have known Kylee since she was in second grade, she has always been the most exuberant, lively and outgoing person!  I absolutely adore her!  I was so excited to do her Senior Pictures, her excitement and her wonderful ideas and willingness to do so much was inspiring!
 I love this one!
There are always people wanting to jump into photos, but I have to say this is one of my favorites.  This guy seemed very genuine and there wasn't anything creepy like so many others.  And he gave us a few good laughs for the rest of the morning!

And again!  Usually it is just one.  It must be Kylee and her sweetness, because this man and his grand-daughter were so excited to jump right in.

I love these in Union Station!  And for once, the security guards were nice (it really must be Kylee!)  The security guard was chatting up Kylee's mom and grandma about the dog as I took pictures, it turns out he was giving me time to take pictures of Kylee without shoes on.  I think he could have just been trying to pet the dog and that was his excuse, but that was the story he told us.  And I was grateful he wasn't being terse and making sure I "understood" the rule of photographing at Union Station.

I love this one!  Well, all of them, but I this one a little bit more.

And this is how Kylee climbs a tree!  Never say you are too old for your mom's help climbing trees, you never know when the need will arise.

And done!  I cannot believe Kylee will be graduating this year!  It seems like a couple of years ago she was at my daughter's 7th birthday party chatting so quickly that none of us understood her and then she would look up at us with those big blue eyes and we all just yes to her.  I still don't know what we agreed too...  But I am grateful that we did!
Xoxoxoxoxo  Kylee!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
