Brighton Family Pictures, Toni and Brian

This is one of the most talented families I know!  There is such an abundance with these guys!  When Toni and I talked about pictures, I was trying to figure out a nice place to do pictures in a mostly gross looking outside.  I happened to drive by Brighton's Armory and seeing that is where Toni and Brian met and it looked better than most of the outside, I figured it would be a fun spot!  And then they showed up and I realized it wouldn't have mattered where I took them!  They look so amazing, I should have known Toni would come up with something amazing!
We were a little bummed that the sun wasn't out, especially for this amazingly bright family!  We were just lucky the rain stopped!
All three of them have such big personalities!  And the ideas of what we should do next were flying everywhere!  I could spent the entire day doing each of their ideas and they would have just kept coming!

 I said hug...
 Mom time!  The best time!

And jump. And jump.  And jump some more!  These guys were jumping all over the place!
When Toni and Brian met, she was a puppet and he was knight in a production of Shrek.  It is one of the cutest love stories ever!  The world is definitely a better place with these two together.  They brighten up everything around them!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
