Legacy High School Senior Pictures, Josh

Josh wanted to do pictures by a red barn and he is lucky enough to have a wonderful aunt who has a beautiful red barn!  She was so nice to let us use it!  It was absolutely wonderful!  The barn was so beautiful on the inside - although it was a little hot in there!  We didn't stay long inside, if we had our brains would have been cooking!
Josh was very nice and polite.  I knew he wasn't super excited about doing pictures, I think his mom had enough excitement for both of them.  His mom was so adorable about it!  She is very proud of him!

He has the most beautiful eyes!  They are so pretty!
As much as he didn't want to do pictures, he was pretty good at posing and super polite and patient as I moved him around and did tons of pictures!

 I love the twinkle lights!

These little guys are so cute!

Ahhh!  Brothers!  I don't think Josh's little brother really wanted to do pictures, perhaps a couple of tads less than Josh wanted to do them.  But they were both really sweet and did them because their mom really wanted photos.
There's his aunt photo bombing them!
I love this one!  It is so brothery!  And this is probably how they really are most of the time.
And see, they were extra sweet with their mom too!  I love this one!

Brighton High School Pictures, Faith

We did Faith's pictures at Golden's Historic Park, it was such a fun session.  I love Faith and her family, they are so down to earth and such marvelous people!  It was really nice to go around the park with them and chat.  This fall, during South Africa's summer they are going back to do more senior pictures (I wish I was going!  Can you imagine?? What fun that would be!)  Faith was born there and she spent a lot of time in her Aunt's garden, so they wanted to go back and have her picture taken in the gardens.  I think that is such a sweet and touching thing to do.

 I love her laugh!

There was this moment where some boys walked by and Faith's mom was teasing her about liking their shoes, but I don't think it was their shoes that Faith was smiling so big about.  I just love her big smile!  She is so beautiful!
At this point, I think she was laughing because she was so happy we were done.  I think she was tired and done with me taking her picture long before …

Denver High School Pictures, Cala

Cala is one of my High School Models and she is freaking adorable!  We had so much fun at Little Man Ice Cream!  I love how excited she was about ice cream and doing pictures!  And eating ice cream at 10am is really not that bad, I could get used to it.    I love her laugh!  I love the bubbles!

These were so much fun!  And the people who work there were amazing!

I love this one!  These were so much fun!  I love the old roller coaster car, I can't believe that people actually rode in those!  I hope there were cushions on them or there would have been a lot of super sore backs.  Cala has such a beautiful smile!  Such a happy fun young lady!

Brighton Portraits, smoke bombs trial 1

Trial 1 - 3 smoke bombs. 8 minutes. 5 usable images. 2 soooo cool unusable images (I am crying that they are out of focus. Like really REALLY crying.) 3 almost "there" images. This has been an expensive learning experience! I am so grateful for my family helping me out with all my crazy ideas. And I apologize to my neighbor who came home to a cloud of purple super smelly smoke.
Trial 2 - soon. Here's to hoping there is no wind!

I like the look of the white smoke bomb as it blew away.

I love these!  But they are out of focus, it was too dark and smoky for my camera to focus.  I thought I had it in focus, but it was too smoky to tell.   I learned a lot tonight.  Like always do it in the day light hours,  have people stand farther away from the smoke so they don't have to smell it, and have more day light than you think you need.  And on top of that, one of the funniest things happened, we meet a new neighbor across the purple smoke. He was coming home with dinner, as…
