Denver Senior Pictures, Diana

The fun we had! Diana is in love with space and we were so lucky to be able to do pictures at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science! It was like a dream come true for both of us! I absolutely love her makeup, she did an amazing job!

If you haven't been to the Space exhibit at DMNS lately, you should go!  There are so many new interactive exhibits! And this huge screen that cycles through amazing images from the James Webb telescope, they are so beautiful!  I couldn't be happier that we were able to create this for Diana!

I love this girl's laugh!

This area is new and such a marvelous new addition! I think Diana and I would have both liked to play around and not just take pictures, but we were on a mission!

I could have stayed in this room for hours!  There were so many opportunities to do fun pictures here!  I really hope that someday Diana gets to be on a space mission and she is this happy!  Her love for space is so inspiring.  What she is doing now to get into the field she wants to be in is amazing, I wish she could teach other teenagers how to dream and then how to go catch those dreams.  She is truly an amazing and driven young lady!

This is my favorite!  She should be in a captain's chair in the next decade or less, because she is                                                                     dreaming and determined to get there!

I love these! They came out soooo good!  And what I went through to find a bowl to fit over a person's head was a lot!  I was really worried I wouldn't have one.  Two days before our session I finally found one at a craft store and I'm sure the employees were confused as I walked (I really ran) over to the glass bowls and started trying them on...
There's not much you can do when people walk by staring and wondering what you are doing, but you can laugh.

This was my absolute favorite room!  It is pitch black and it appears as though you are walking through space.  It was also the hardest room to photograph in!  Because we were using an external light, we didn't want to photograph when other people were in the room, so it took a while to take some images.

I was so glad we were able to go outside and show off her makeup a little more!

I love, LOVE this one!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
