Ari and her girls, Franktown

I was so excited to do these! And Ariana and her girls were the perfect people to photograph with the alpacas! Ellie and Katy's faces were so lit up when Andrea brought out the Alpacas! It was downright adorable!

You wouldn't think it would be hard to set up this photo - person, alpaca, person, alpaca, person, alpaca.  But it turns out the alpacas have a tiny motor that propels them forward, so just as you get ready to take the picture the tiny motor starts and they start to move... I am not for sure about the motor, but I do know that the camera is attached to their need to move forward and I started to feel like I was in a 3 Stooges skit... set up, set up, set up, camera ready and on it's way up and move forward alpaca, repeat 3-5 times and maybe get a few images in between.  It was hilarious!

It was so wonderful working with Crazy Hair Alpacas Farm!  Andrea was amazing and just the most patient person!  I love that she shares her beautiful alpacas with people!

I love these 3 ladies!  I have known them for years and they are so awesome, wonderful and absolutely beautiful!  Love, love, love them!

I love these sweaters!  When Ariana told me they were wearing them I was so excited!  Crazy Christmas sweaters are so awesome!

The process of getting Ellie up sideways was so freaking hilarious!  I think I have a video, I am so going to have to share that on social media!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
