There were so many possibilities with these guys!  We talked about the railroad tracks, fall colors, couches...  I am so glad we picked the spot we did!  It was so perfect and just diverse enough to hold the little guys attention!  We saw snake skin, leaves, weeds, tall grasses, stickers and best of all sticks.  Sticks!  I do believe sticks are the best toys ever!  Of course all mom's can recognize this face and stance - it is the "look how excited I am!  Now will you smile?" stance.  I have done this several times myself, but I don't think I have ever looked this good doing it!  I am so in love with this face!  He is so adorable and lovable!  You may be saying to yourself, wow, he is smiling so good in these...  All the credit goes to his wonderfully exuberant smiling mom.  He totally loves his mom!  Color?  Or black and white?  I couldn't decide. ...

Maritza's pictures were perfect!  The weather was perfect and the leaves were perfect.  We had such a wonderful time wandering around Boulder and we really didn't have to wander very far to find beautiful scenes.     Maritza was such a sweet girl and we had a great time!  I love this spot!  Since the floods, it hasn't looked so great, but now with the leaves covering all the damage, it looks so much better!  I love the colors in the background!

Sometimes I cannot believe how lucky I am!  I have done pictures with trains, trucks and cars, boats and horses, but not planes.  When Ryan said he wanted to do pictures with an airplane and I couldn't have been more excited!  It was quite exciting to do these pictures in the late afternoon with a couple of airplanes.  Ryan was such a great kid and had a great sense of humor - of course his dad and mom were making faces and saying goofy things which amazingly worked!  Most teenagers are so annoyed when their parent's act like that, I guess I can't blame them, but as a parent it is sooo much fun.    Even though his face is covered by the sun, I love it!  It was great because as we were taking pictures, there were planes landing and taking off.  So it was super fantastic when we actually got some planes behind him!  I loved the whole environmental portraiture of these!  I love this plan...

This fall has been absolutely beautiful in Colorado!  I have had a wonderful time meeting new people and reconnecting with past clients this fall.  I have really enjoyed being with the little ones, they grow up so quickly and I miss my little ones since they are so much bigger now.  And this little guy was very much like my daughter had been - always on the go, going and coming back and gone again, chasing dogs, moving, moving, moving.  It was amazing to see how marvelous his parent's handled his obvious need for movement.  He is such a cutie!  And such a helpful kiddo, whenever we were done with a pose, he would go grab his mom's coffee cup and bring it to her.  Totally melted my heart!  Peek-a-boo!  Dog chasing!  He finally got one!

I have done so many things with this family this year!  There was a wedding, senior pictures and then family pictures - it has been amazing!  These guys are the model of my ideal clients - love.  They are so willing to do so many different things and they have their own wonderful ideas too!  And what great kids - they really helped each other out and supported each other during all of these sessions.  I really wish I knew Laura and Lance's secret on raising kids.  Part of their secret has to be Laura's compassion - after our session she texted me what a great time they had and wished me a great vacation weekend.  I felt all warm and fuzzy after that!  These guys really are marvelous!  We almost lost the sun here.  I was very nervous, without the sun this field is just a blah field of grasses.  But with the sun, it is an amazing field of light and color.  Luckily, we had just enough sun and the i...
