Downtown Family Portrait Session, Christina and Alex

I have photographed quite a few families lately and I am trying really hard to get them all up! I have had such a wonderful time seeing all the different family dynamics and different personalities.

Here is Christina and Alex's boys - Sam, Henry and William! They were quite the handful and full of personality (my grandma would have called them 'pistols'). They were awesome kiddos and I can't imagine there is a dull moment in their house!

We went the Union Station in Denver and did images inside the terminal and then walked around River Front Park. It was quite the adventure!

Henry difinitley knows how to smile!

It was very hard to get them to actually stay still long enough to get a picture of all of them smiling. If there was a fence, a poll or something sticking out of the wall they would have to climb all over it - usually all at once!

Sam hid this smile from me, and as it turns out this was just a peak into his gorgeous smile. I never saw it again.

Every time I see this image, I yawn. When I showed it to my husband and oldest son, they yawned. And I'm yawning again...

I love these walls! They are so goofy!

The boys were supposed to have hats too, but as we discovered the hats became props for playing and not for a sweet warm family image.

I love Williams concentration on trying to wrap the scarf.

They have such a wonderful family and I had a spectacular time hanging out with them!

I am Alex's Mom! These are terrific. I know there will be some prints under the tree, but may I also order? Thanks, Karen W.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
