Lafayette, Co Family Pictures, Lynn and Curt

It is getting to be that time to start thinking about Holiday Pictures!  And I had such a good time with these guys doing some Christmas themes!  We did pictures at Waneka Lake and were so lucky to have leaves changing colors and not to high of temperatures!  It did get a little warm as we were walking around, but not as hot as it has been here in Colorado!
There was some competitive jostling on who would get to help pull the wagon I had all my props in, but they all took turns (except the baby, he obviously couldn't do much!) and the greatest thing was that I didn't have to pull it!  The boys were so much help with everything and I was so grateful!

I love these with the fake snow!  The smiles and excitement were fabulous!  Of course, after this there was a lot of brushing snow off of shoulders and out of hair.  A slight draw back to the snow!
Such an adorable family picture!  I love it!

I was so pleased when I saw these!  I really had to work hard to get these and I am so glad I got some good ones!
I really love this one!  I love the look she is giving her brother's hand.  So cute!
Look at these sweet faces!  They are all so different and amazing kids!  The oldest was really interested in photography and had lots of suggestions, it was so great to see such a budding photographer mind!  And the second one, he loved it when we took his individual pictures!  He had so many different posing ideas!  It was great!  And their sister was a very determined little girl!  She really wanted to get in on the pulling the wagon fun (I maybe pushed from behind when she wasn't looking, I didn't want it to be too hard for her!) She was so proud to be such a big help!  Of course, the baby was just precious!  He was in a great mood most of the time!  Such a cutie!
Such big helpers these kids!  Their parents must be so proud of how much they offer to help!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
