Boulder Senior Pictures, Olivia

I always love how every session plays out differently. And there’s always something that happens that becomes the conflict or boulder to overcome. And then the session ends up totally different than how I had planned and expected it to be and it’s always better than what I planned! These pictures on Pearl Street were so wonderful. I had planned a quick stop, but due to missing items, we were waiting for Olivia’s dad to come back so we stayed longer. We also went a different way than I normally would go because there were so many people on the mall And I am just delighted with the images that we got! And we wouldn’t have gotten such different pictures for softball if things have gone the way I expected to. In fact, they probably would’ve been super bright and sunny pictures because the sun was shining full on the fields, and it would’ve made it so bright and hard to deal with. Instead, we were stuck with the sun going down and trying desperately to get through all of the softball pictures as quickly as possible, while there was still a little bit of light in the sky
I just love all the colors here! So fun!
There was this other moment that I was like uh oh... the wind really picked up and a few drops fell from the sky... I was a little worried we would have to go sit in my car and wait out a storm. But it blew through quick (twice!) and we just had to deal with some gusts. But I loved how great Olivia's hair looked in the wind, so it was all good!

I love how Colorado this window is!

This was my favorite spot! I could have done an entire session here! The white doors and window trim! The black fences! The light blue window! It was wonderful! And Olivia looks so amazing here!

There is magic at Chautauqua! Even when the light is behind the mountain, it is so beautiful and so perfect. Every time! There is a reason so many people want to come here!

I love the wind in her hair!

The softball pictures! I ran red lights to get here! (Ok, only 1, but that's way more than I normally run!) I actually love the light on these! There is something about Olivia in this lower light that just shines! She looks so amazing!

I love this one!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
