Golden Senior Pictures, Ryan

I have photographed Ryan and his band a few times. I was so extra excited to do Ryan's pictures at Red Rocks. I knew it was going to be a challenge with all the people there on a Saturday morning, but I was really worried about the sun and how it extra bright it was going to be. But we lucked out because it was cloudy! I knew Ryan wasn't going to want to do a lot of pictures, but I was really hoping he would be excited about doing them in the Amphitheatre, I'm not really sure if he was, but I was!

I think this is one of my favorites!  I think it is a brief look into Ryan!  And I actually got one of those moments!
I love this one!  Those rocks! And the light!  Just lovely!

Yes, there was photoshop involved in this!  It would be fantastic to not have people crawling all over the seats here, but sadly that is not how it happens here (as I am remembering almost colliding with a stair runner.)

Just to show what I was having to work around!  There were so many people!  And we couldn't go up farther because the workers were cleaning the benches above up.  But I was still so incredibly grateful to not have to be competing with the sun.

I love how Ryan is with his parents, it's really sweet!
These were the ones I was so excited about!  I really hope this was Ryan's favorite part too!  The number of people in the Welcome Center was crazy!  We had to wait and wait and wait.  And wait.  But we got some!  I love this one so much!  It may be a cello, but it has 4 strings and so does a bass.  I loved the foreground being an instrument!  This is such a fun space!

I was so bummed!  I had a crate of albums I was going to bring and I covered it with my sweater (it was a chilly morning) and I forgot both!  I was so excited to find this wall!  So forgotten albums was a good thing!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...
