Denver Senior Pictures, Estefan

I wasn’t able to talk to Estefan much before the session, so I felt like I was going in a little bit blind. And it turned out so wonderful! Estefan, his mom and girl friend were a delight! I was so excited to be in Denver and taking pictures in 5 Points again! I felt like a kid in a candy store! Estefan was so great to put up with all my excitement and let’s do pictures here and here and oh over here!

I love this image!

Estefan had changed shirts and he had been wearing it for about 20 minutes and I went OH!  That's a NASA logo!  There is an astronaut mural, where we had already taken pictures… So, we went back!

I was so in love with this wall, I had mentioned that we were almost done and then I changed my mind. I am pretty sure this wall is recently painted because I don't remember it, I just had a ton of ideas flood into my brain and I was so inspired!

When I say, let's do a picture with you and your mom, I don't usually expect the kids to jump on their mom's back... But now that I know it's possible...

I had said we were done, I was about to put my camera away and his mom mentioned something about the broken door.  I know she was thinking it was broken door, but I was in love with the pattern and colors!  The backdrop people are missing out not making backdrops like this.

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
