Sonja and Chris and their wonderful family, Blackhawk

When Sonja said she wanted to squeeze in a quick family session before her son’s senior pictures, I was like—yes, please! 🎉 I mean, any time with Sonja is a good time. She’s one of those people who’s always doing a million things for everyone else, so the fact that she carved out this moment for herself made me so happy. Plus, family photos in Blackhawk!  Ummmm... yes! It is always nice to see her with her family and get to hang out with them too!  They are quite the funny bunch!  And then we ran around the hills and did her son's Senior Pictures, but that's another blog post.

Maybe not everyone was into taking photos 😂







But I got the boys to be excited about pictures! 😂
They are very much a hockey family, I loved that they brought some hockey jerseys!  We had so much fun with them.

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

 Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. Isaak's Senior Pictures, Boulder

 Isaak was so easygoing and genuinely amazing to be around!  He wanted his senior pictures at sunset in Boulder, which is always a hit or a miss. There’s just something about that golden light hitting the rocks and mountains that makes everything feel magical. The only catch? Everyone else thinks so too. I picked this spot years ago because hardly anyone goes there. But this time, when we showed up, it was packed ! I couldn’t believe it. I was like, really?? Why here, today of all days? As it turns out, a sweet group of friends was setting up for a surprise proposal right in the middle of our spot. I mean, adorable, but also, the timing!  But honestly, that’s one of the things I love about my job, something unexpected always happens. Whether it’s weather changes, running late, surprise events, or wardrobe hiccups, it's always a challenge! And every single time, it ends up being even better than what I planned.
