Isiah's Senior Pictures, Brighton

This was the craziest day of weather!  It was sunny on the way to the session, by the time I got there clouds were rolling in and the trees were blowing like crazy.  We had already rescheduled because of rain the week before and I had been checking weather all day and it was going to be partly cloudy.  Not windy and cloudy.  We all shook our heads and started the session and there were a few moments that it seemed like it was going to start raining, but it didn't.  And then towards the end, right after Isiah changed into his 2nd outfit a micro burst blew in.  We couldn't talk to each other and this fallen tree started tumbling towards us like a tumble weed.  It was quite the event!  I was so glad that Isiah was so easy going and he went with the weather, shrugged his shoulders and said what's next.  It was fantastic!

We did have some great skies because of the crazy weather.  But I just think that we could have done without the crazy microburst.

I love that we did these on a golf course!  It was so much fun!

Look at that swing!  It was a little nerve wracking being on the ground while he was swinging that fast!

He literally was holding onto his hat because of the wind.  It was very crazy!

I just adore this!  Isiah's mom is just the sweetest!  She was such an incredible help, always fixing his hair, getting the golf balls, putting my changing tent away (that thing is such a pain - especially in the wind!)

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Grace Senior Pictures, Boulder Co

Sometimes the best things are worth the wait—and Grace’s senior session was definitely one of those moments. After rescheduling thanks to Colorado’s unpredictable rain (seriously, the rain wasn’t acting the way it’s supposed to!), we finally landed the most beautiful day . There was just the right amount of sparkle in the air—it was perfect. Grace is such a delightfully beautiful young lady, inside and out. Her energy is gentle but radiant, and from the moment she showed up, she was so excited to be in front of the camera. That kind of enthusiasm? It’s contagious—and honestly, I was just as excited as she was! We had a great time exploring by the creek, Chautauqua and the top of Flagstaff   Mountain and soaking in that golden light, and creating portraits that felt so her. And then…I brought out the mylar. 😄 I had this fun, artsy idea to play with reflections and light using sheets of mylar—something a little different, a little sparkly, and totally dreamy. Turns out...
