Colorado Zombies, Eagle Ridge High School Zombie Lit Class

When my daughter signed up for Zombie Lit, I warned her that I would have to attend class with her.  I was so surprised that it would be a high school English class.  But I was very excited for her!  What an awesome class!  I have been trying to get a group of Seniors or teenagers to do a zombie shoot, but most people don't want to do that.  And then I had this idea to ask my daughter's teacher if she wanted to do a zombie shoot with her class and she agreed!  I was so excited!
There was so much involved in getting these guys ready!  There was lots of make-up to do and I learned lots!  I had no idea wounds could be so easy or so hard to create!  I can't wait for Halloween!
I couldn't decide if I should use color or black and white.  The color showed off all the make-up we worked so hard on, but the black and white seemed so quintessential zombie (that is if you grew up with Night of the Living Dead.)

This is one of my favorite pictures - laughing and smiling zombies.

Ouch!  That's got to hurt!
Ummmmm.... It's like someone took a bite out of her....
Again with the biting...

I was rooting for her to get on the top of the car!  Hurry!  Hurry!
This is where they learn about zombies, in this very classroom!

Sage's Senior Pictures, Boulder

When I first showed up for Sage’s senior session, I just knew it was going to be something special. She was a little shy at first, but right away I could tell what a sweet and genuine young lady she is. And once she warmed up, she started to shine—it was such a joy to capture! The locations she chose were absolutely perfect, and they fit her so well. And then, as if the day knew how amazing Sage is, the sun came out just for her. It had been hiding behind the clouds for quite a while, but suddenly it burst through, lighting up her gorgeous hair and giving everything this beautiful, glowy warmth. It honestly felt magical, and I couldn’t have been more excited. Photographing Sage was such an honor. She’s kind, authentic, and absolutely radiant—I just adored every moment of her session! She has the greatest smile! I love these in the water!  It was such a beautiful day! I love this one!  It is just magical! Her and her brother are so cute! I love these in the grasses!...

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. I can’t wait to share more from her senior year as one of my Influencers—she’s truly a star in front of the camera! I just l...

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...
