Brighton High School Pictures, Adam

Adam was a little reserved, so at first I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to get him to smile.  It turns out I barely got him to smile, luckily his mom was able to crack him.  I did get a wee bit of a smile when I told him "My dog Gretchen has a rabbit head in her mouth" story.  But not much of a smile.  I thought it was funny I asked him if he was excited about school and without a thought he said "NO!"  When I asked him why, he said it was boring.  I think it is so sad that so many kids think it is boring, if I know this, why don't teachers?  And is it the teachers or the administration?  But someone should do something to try and get these kids involved - I know way easier said than done.  But I hear it a lot, usually there is a pause and some thought.  Obviously Adam had already thought about it. I love this one!  I don't know what he was laughing about.  He looks mischievous. ...

Engagement Session, Julie and Corey

Julie and Corey are getting married on Sunday!  I can't wait, Julie and I toured the Manor House the other day and it is beautiful!  Their whole wedding is going to be very laid back, no cake or bouquet toss, no structured toasts - I love couples that buck tradition and just make it what they want it to be!  I am excited to be able to have time with the people and not chasing the bride to cut the cake or throw the bouquet.  For their Engagement session, they wanted to go where they had their first date - The Denver Botanic Gardens.  I thought it would be this nice,  easy going session... but they had me cracking up!  Corey kept doing this thing from the movie Talladega Nights - "I just don't know what to do with my hands" and his hands would rise up like giant monster appendages.  It became quite the theme of the evening.  And then I had them share a lovely moment about the other person with each other and Julie was extremel...

Denver Wedding Photography, Elizabeth and Eddy

I do not like how busy I have been feeling!  It's just rush, rush, rush!  I feel like I have been rushing through sessions like wild fire, I would really like to slow down and enjoy work.  But I know people are waiting!  I am trying, but with school starting and I have a head cold, it makes it a little harder to hustle, hustle.  And whenever I get like this, it seems like my computer has slowed down to snail speed.  I keep hoping to catch up... Maybe tomorrow!   I cannot believe the Elizabeth and Eddy's wedding has come and gone, it seems like it was just last year I did Elizabeth's Senior Pictures and last month I did their engagement shoot.  And now they're married!  I really enjoyed hanging out with Elizabeth and Eddy, they are such a wonderful couple and fabulous individual people, they are very lucky to have found each other!  I love Elizabeth's dress!  It was so beautiful!  Lov...
