Engagement Session, Julie and Corey

Julie and Corey are getting married on Sunday!  I can't wait, Julie and I toured the Manor House the other day and it is beautiful!  Their whole wedding is going to be very laid back, no cake or bouquet toss, no structured toasts - I love couples that buck tradition and just make it what they want it to be!  I am excited to be able to have time with the people and not chasing the bride to cut the cake or throw the bouquet.
For their Engagement session, they wanted to go where they had their first date - The Denver Botanic Gardens.  I thought it would be this nice,  easy going session... but they had me cracking up!  Corey kept doing this thing from the movie Talladega Nights - "I just don't know what to do with my hands" and his hands would rise up like giant monster appendages.  It became quite the theme of the evening.  And then I had them share a lovely moment about the other person with each other and Julie was extremely skeptical that the moment was even about her... I was like great, I may have to stop using that scenario... So to save the moment I shared a story about my husband and I - with the intent of showing that perspectives can be way different, but I never got to that point and it just seemed like I was talking about myself...  Such great moments...

And then as if Corey's rising hands weren't enough, Julie has to start grabbing him!  Oh my!  I cannot say that I didn't encourage it... but I didn't suggest it, I can say that.
 Love this one!

This was one of the first jokes Corey ever made to Julie, one of many I am sure.  He kept stopping at the Stay of the Path signs and wondering what kind of a flower could that be.  So of course we had to do some with those signs.  Good luck identifying the Stay on the Path flowers!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Sophia Senior Pictures, Boulder

The thing I remember the most about Sophia's session was walking around chatting and laughing! This girl is going places, she is just so busy with everything! And I bet she does everything with that beautiful smile of hers! I love this one!  Her hair!  It is just gorgeous! I love that whatever pose I put her in, she looked so amazing!   I love all these colors, they were absolutely beautiful! I mentioned that she could get into the water if she wanted and the next thing I know she is sitting in the water!  It was so awesome! I would have suggested she get her hair wet, but we still had another location to get to! I love these in the field so much!   Chautuaqua  is always a magical place! And then the sun came out!  We were out of the field at this point and when the sun came out, Sophia and I ran back and did some more pictures!  I was so excited! Sophia has been seeing rainbows everywhere and at the end of our session, this wonderful ra...

Cecilia, Andrew and their adorable children. Oh and a few alpacas. Franktown, Co

Photographing with alpacas has been sooooo much fun! They are just adorable, sweet and have the cutest faces! And this family made it so much more enjoyable! These kids are downright adorable! And full of such personality - I was in love!   These kids!  Their reactions to the alpacas were just adorable!  There's a video on instagram about it too, I encourage you to go check it out!  So cute! Those sweaters!  They were so cute!  Hopefully they were warm because it was cold that day!  And out in the field with all the snow was so much cooler!  But those kids were amazing leaving their jackets off while we took pictures!  I personally would have frozen and just fallen over without my jacket! I love LOVE this light!  If the kids hadn't been warmly bundled in a wagon, I would have thrown them in to the image too, but to make them get out in the cold was a little cruel.   For more information on High School Seniors, Portraits and Weddings...
