Brighton Senior Portraits, Misty

The first time I met Misty, she was little, maybe 8?  Her dad was in charge of a Young Marine's troop and I was photographing one of their dances.  Then fast forward 8 or so years and my son Nick brings her home and says she's his girlfriend - I warned him that may not be such a good idea with her dad being a Marine, but he ignored me.  They didn't date long, but they remained friends.  And now it is her Senior year and I am doing her Senior Pictures.  It makes me so sad that all the kiddos we knew are growing up!  Because that means that my kiddos are growing up!
Misty is one of the greatest girl's (young woman) I know!  She is not afraid to say what is on her mind or stand up for what she believes in.  I love that she doesn't let the fear of what other's think get in her way - she is so going to be President some day!

Here is Misty and her boyfriend Devin, they are so sweet together!

I love these on the beach!

 I love this one!

This guy came by to check out what we were doing, but he didn't much care because we didn't have any food he liked.

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...
