Brighton Senior Pictures, Zach

I feel like Zach's pictures were 3 different kids.  There was the Soccer/Snowboard kid and then the funky, paradoxical kid and then the car kid.  Maybe I shouldn't say kid...  young adult.  I think his parents are very lucky to have such a dynamic, interesting young adult!  I'm sure there are no dull moments with him.

I love the colors!  And Zach's snowboard is so photographicable.
 I love this one!

I really love this one!  And probably looks more like snowboarding than the rest.

This is one of my favorite places to take pictures!  It just smells baaadddd!  But I was glad that Zach wanted to do pictures here, because it is such a great spot.  And I was surprised at how bad it still smells with the cooler weather.  I think it is all the bat and owl stuff inside.

We were so lucky that a train came by!

As we were walking toward the car to drive to another spot, Zach says 'just so you know, sometimes the brakes fail when the car reaches high speeds.'  I did falter a bit, I was thinking well it can't be that bad - can it?  His parents wouldn't really let him drive a car that brake's failed, at high speeds no less - would they?  And as I was thinking about that, he was chuckling, because it was a joke.  So he has a sense of humor too!
 I love this one too!

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
