Brighton High School Senior Portraits, Angie

Angie's session was kind of an impromptu, well we'll go here....  Her session was one of the first after all the rain and flooding and I wasn't really sure if we could go where we had planned.  It sort of worked out, although her heels kept sinking into the ground and it was really squishy in places.  Angie was very up to it all though and she was a great trooper to slosh through the soggy ground full of goat heads and mushrooms.
 I love this image!








 See!  Mushrooms!  When I got home from this shoot, there were about 10 at the base of one our trees.  I went over to take pictures, but was quickly repelled by the smell. Ewwwww!



 I thought it only appropriate to include the water in some way and since we didn't have rain boots, reflections seemed like the next best thing.

Avery Senior Pictures, Denver Botanic Gardens

 Avery is one of my incredible Senior Influencers, and she totally rocked her session! From the very beginning, she was ready to go!  Every pose I put her in, she made look amazing — it made photographing her an absolute joy. We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, which was the perfect backdrop for her session. Everywhere we turned there were stunning plants, colorful flowers, and hidden little corners. Avery looked so natural — it was like the gardens were showing off just for her! After exploring the gardens, we headed over to Cheesman Park to slow things down a bit. The vibe there was more relaxed, with gorgeous light. It gave us the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm, and Avery’s personality shone through every single shot.   This session was such a fun combination of vibrant and chill, and Avery made it all look effortless. Isaak's Senior Pictures, Boulder

 Isaak was so easygoing and genuinely amazing to be around!  He wanted his senior pictures at sunset in Boulder, which is always a hit or a miss. There’s just something about that golden light hitting the rocks and mountains that makes everything feel magical. The only catch? Everyone else thinks so too. I picked this spot years ago because hardly anyone goes there. But this time, when we showed up, it was packed ! I couldn’t believe it. I was like, really?? Why here, today of all days? As it turns out, a sweet group of friends was setting up for a surprise proposal right in the middle of our spot. I mean, adorable, but also, the timing!  But honestly, that’s one of the things I love about my job, something unexpected always happens. Whether it’s weather changes, running late, surprise events, or wardrobe hiccups, it's always a challenge! And every single time, it ends up being even better than what I planned.
