Georgetown Senior Pictures, Alize

I was so excited to do Alize's Senior Pictures and not just because I love what I do, but because she was so excited! She set all of this up herself, kept checking in with me and making sure everything was ok and even called the day of because there was a massive car accident on I-70 and wasn't annoyed when I reached out all day after that. And to make the deal even sweeter, after we did pictures in Denver she wanted to go to Georgetown and do pictures at the lake! I was so excited!

I had this great idea to do the hair shaking pictures different... and then in the middle of doing them this truck pulls into the parking lot we were in and seemed rather confused and just messed up our general vibe, I was getting a little annoyed and then didn't think what I was doing was working... but when I went to look at the images, I was super excited, they actually came out great!  And now I will call this move the Alize!  I wish I could share a bunch more!

I just love this one!  We were trying to do a fun thing with shading her face from the sun, but it was just too bright!  And then I caught her doing this and I was like let's do that!

Alize is a bit serious and then all of the sudden she would do something like this, I feel like this is one of the rare moments that I actually caught because she is so sneaky and fast!
There is just something absolutely something about this one!  I love it!
I love this one with her and her sister!

Everything was going so well in Georgetown!  And then the wind started, in Denver we would have loved the wind because it was so hot!  But it was a little cooler and it was definitely making it cold!  But the greatest thing about wind and hair is that you get crazy fun things!

I love these and the wind made them so much better!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
