Alex is graduating!

This wonderful being is graduating from CU with a degree from the Department of Aerospace Engineering! What a huge accomplishment! I was so excited to be photographing such an ambitious young lady!

She was so full of smiles and laughter!  I had the best time photographing her!

I love that she wanted to do pictures in the buildings she spent so much time in!  I am sure to her they were boring because she’s seen them almost every day for the past few years, but to me they were beautiful!  I loved the little details!  The glass wall and the ceiling!  They were so beautiful!

I love these!

I don’t know what it was about this day, but the pond was extremely gorgeous!  And we were lucky to still have some blooms on trees!  It was just a fantastically perfect day!

The enthusiasm with which she threw her hat!  It was impressive!  Just like she is!  I love that she is choosing what she wants and going for it!  She is truly an inspiration for all those around her.  And she is so humble, like it’s no big deal that she’s graduating with this marvelous degree.  It is a big deal!  And if you didn’t get it before, I think she is pretty amazing!
She is so wonderful!  I absolutely love her enthusiasm!  And her smile is so bright!
I love these with her mom!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
