Golden family pictures

The minute I saw this family getting out of the car, I was like this is going to be fun!  All the personalities and energy!  I just a love a family that loves each other and knows how to have fun!  These guys were definitely that!  There was so much laughter, goofing around and a bit of teasing of the youngest... It's always so hard for them 😂

The teasing!  It really was cute!
These two were so excited about taking pictures!  My favorite kind of people!  They were already telling me what their senior pictures were going to be like!  I really hope I get the chance to do them, because people that are excited about taking pictures are my favorite!

I just love all the smiles!  You could tell these guys all love each other's company!

So cute!
I didn't say anything about the bunny ears, but I'm pretty sure Alex knew what was going on.

I love, LOVE these!  A happy mom and dad are the best!

Yeah, I don't know what is going on either... but I suppose one of my kids will see this, call me and tell me to not be so ignorant 😂 They'll still have to explain it to me.

I love this one!
This one is my favorite!
I don't usually have families with older kids run, but I could tell that they would all make it fun.  And they did!  The youngest may be the last born, but he was not going to be the last in the race!  Even when his mom and dad held him back 😂

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
