Raquel Senior Pictures

This was one of those sessions that was perfect! But in the beginning, I just wasn't so sure it would be... It was thundering when we arrived. Then there would be these moments of sprinkling rain that threatened to be so much more. It was so hard to read, the clouds were so dark and then they would move out. And then come back. But we stuck it out and had the best session! The wind was so spot on! I was so excited!

I had such a hard time figuring out which images to put on the blog and which to not… it was so hard!  I originally picked 98, but that seemed like too many…

I love this one!

These on the rock with the grasses were some of my favorites!  The wind was perfect!  Jacquelyn’s personality really just shone through on these!

I absolutely love this one!  So cute!

After Boulder, we went to Broomfield and the light was so amazing! It was just like butter!

Love this one!  Her laugh is adorable!

Again, the light!  The wind!  It was all perfect!

This light was unreal!  I think it’s because we still had some smoke in the air from all the fires, it’s sad that something so devastating can make such beauty.

Racquel is an amazing performer!  I couldn’t resist doing something that showcased that!  So I brought out my sequin fabric and roses and she brought her playbills.  It was awesome!
I love the willow tree images!  I could have had 10 more here, but there is only so much room in a blog post!
Love, love, love this one!  Racquel is such a happy person, most of the session was really about that.  But there were some fantastic serious moments and this is one of them!

Elli, Senior Pictures

I was so excited for this session — my very first full Senior Session! These types of sessions are always my favorite!   It means I am getting back to work and there is always something so special about capturing a person right on the edge of everything new. And with Elli, I knew it was going to be a great one. From the moment we started planning, her energy and excitement made it clear: this was going to be one for the books. And it was — even with the weather throwing us a little curveball. About halfway through the session, the skies opened up and we had to pause for a solid 45 minutes. But honestly? Even that didn’t take away from how amazing the day was. The rain gave us a chance to slow down, laugh, and reset — and when we got going again, everything felt a little more magical - and the lighting post-rain? Gorgeous!   I was hoping for a rainbow, but sadly we missed that! Elli is such a joy to be around. She’s incredibly sweet, the kind of person who makes y...

Tanner's Senior Pictures, Boulder

This young man! He is fantastic! I loved that he knew what he wanted and we were able to find some marvelous spots!  Look at those colors!  They were so amazing!   I did Tanner's  sisters senior pictures  a few years ago and these two are just wonderful kids!  I really love working with their family!  They are just wonderful people! I love this one! I just love this one of these two! We were done and on the way back to the car when I saw the sky and I was I like we have to do more!  I ran to my car, got a light and we did a few more pictures! I love this one! I absolutely love this shirt!  It is so awesome! Alex, Senior Pictures

When I talked to Alex's mom, she said he really didn't want to do pictures and she thought the best thing to do was to do family pictures and then sneak some senior pictures in.  I don't usually do that, but I figured that she knew how he would be the most comfortable and what would be the most successful.    I am so glad that we did it this way, she was definitely right!  I hope Alex at least had a decent time, but I could tell that he was not really into it - maybe if I'd had another hour with him....  just kidding, I think that would have made him super anxious!  I just hope in the future he keeps allowing himself to be photographed for those he loves.  Because even though he didn't want to do it, he did a great job and didn't complain at all.                                                 ...
